The main thing — do not forget to moisturize the skin
How to understand that the skin is oily
“It’s all quite simple: the skin is prone to comedones and acne, enlarged pores and visible Shine on the face due to the large number of sebum — Alexander Prokofyev, doctor-dermatologist, a medical expert of the brand La Roche-Posay. — However, this has its advantages: abundant fat formation does not allow moisture to escape, protects from the weather and, accordingly, keeps the skin younger for longer.”
What should care be like
As for any other skin: cleansing, toning and moisturizing. But in the care of oily skin, the focus will shift to reducing the secretion of sebaceous glands and matting. And if there are acne rashes, then you will need antibacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredients.
“Pay attention to the following ingredients in the mass: reinaudi, linoleic and azelaic acid, herb extracts (pumpkin, burdock, green tea) — they regulate sebum; perlite, kaolin, silicon, calcium, and aluminum — Mat; AHA and BHA-acids, retinoids, azelaic acid, and sulfur help to exfoliate; retinoids, lipoic acid, avocado oil — increase number of cells; pyroceramic, Niacinamide, allantoin, linoleic acid, zinc salt, herbal extracts inhibit the growth of bacteria and soothe inflammation — continues Alexander.
And if in stages?
After washing your face, use tonics. Let’s repeat what they are for: the tonic relieves the skin of all excess, prepares it for applying subsequent care, disinfects and dries, narrows the pores and mattes.
If desired, you can apply an essence or serum. Excess skin hydration will not harm anyone, since most of the Russian population suffers from skin dehydration (we wrote more about it here).
The final stage — application of the cream with sebum-regulating effect (if you want — and with matting). “If there are comedones or acne on the skin, then you should choose one that has an anti — inflammatory effect as a care cream,” says Alexander. — If there is a lot of inflammation, then the best solution is to go to a consultation with a dermatologist. The sooner you go, the better: scars and age spots will not appear.”
