But all agree on one thing-homemade cakes are much tastier than purchased ones. We have collected for you three recipes of cake that will conquer the taste buds of your friends and family.

Easter cake in Polish

You will need:

  • flour-1.5 kg
  • milk – 1 tbsp.
  • cream – 2 tbsp.
  • dry yeast-10-15 g (read the information about the proportions on the package)
  • eggs – 10 PCs.
  • sugar-800 g

How to cook?

  1. Warm up the milk and cream in different containers, mix them with flour and stir thoroughly. Leave the mass to cool a little. Dilute the yeast in a small amount of warmed milk and add them to our mass, there also stir in two eggs. Knead the dough well, and then cover the container with a towel and put it in a warm place until it rises.
  2. When the dough increases in volume, add to it the yolks of 8 eggs, pounded white with 400 g of sugar, and the whites whipped into a thick foam with the second half of the sugar. Gently mix the mass from top to bottom with a wooden spatula, add the remaining flour, and set aside the dough to rise again.
  3. After that, knead the dough again carefully. Prepare the forms by greasing them with oil and sprinkling them with flour. Move the dough into them, filling the forms to half. Leave in this form for a while, so that the dough comes up again (to the top of the form). During this time, preheat the oven to 180-200 degrees and bake the cakes until ready (check with a wooden stick or match).

Cake with almonds

You will need:

  • milk-0.5 l
  • flour – 1 kg
  • eggs – 5 PCs.
  • dry yeast-10-15 g
  • sugar-200 g
  • raisins-150 g
  • peeled almonds-200 g
  • lemon – 1 PC.
  • butter-300 g
  • salt to taste

How to cook?

  1. Put the milk on a small fire and bring to a boil, then wait until it cools to room temperature (you can put it in a cool place for a while, for example, on a balcony).
  2. Divide the milk into two parts. In one half of the liquid, dilute the yeast with 1 tablespoon of sugar. And in the remaining milk, add flour and yeast, mix thoroughly. Place in a deep container and cover the dough with a towel, setting aside in a warm place for fermentation. At this time, separate the white from the yolks and put in the refrigerator.
  3. While the dough is rising, beat 5 yolks with sugar. Add them to the increased volume of the dough, as well as melted butter, grated lemon zest, crushed almonds (100 g), raisins and salt. Whisk the whites to a stable froth and pour into the dough, mixing it thoroughly with a spatula from top to bottom.
  4. Place the dough in a greased and floured form, and let it come up a little. Then smear the surface of the future cake with yolk and sprinkle the remaining part of the almonds (you can leave the nuts intact). Bake at 180 °C until ready.

Pumpkin cake

You will need:

  • milk-0.5 l
  • pumpkin-300 g
  • butter-200 g
  • eggs – 3 PCs.
  • sugar-200 g
  • dry yeast-10-15 g
  • flour-1.5 kg
  • salt to taste
  • vanilla on the tip of a teaspoon or a packet of vanilla sugar

How to cook?

  1. Wash the pumpkin and peel it from the skin and seeds. Cut into small cubes and sprinkle with sugar, let it stand until the pumpkin releases the juice. Then boil the pumpkin flesh in it over a slow fire until it is ready. RUB the resulting puree through a fine sieve, mix with milk, soft butter, eggs, sugar, salt and yeast diluted in a small amount of warm milk.
  2. Carefully, but carefully knead the dough, gradually adding flour. Cover the container with the dough with a towel and leave to rise.
  3. Grease the forms with oil, sprinkle with flour and fill them half with the dough. Let it come to the top of the mold, and then bake in the oven at 180-200 degrees until the cake is ready.
